Job Description

Lepley Recruiting Services is representing a leading flooring company in search of an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This role requires in-depth knowledge of RFMS accounting software . The Bookkeeper will handle a wide range of accounting tasks, with a primary focus on payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process installer payroll, including posting provider earnings and verifying reports.
  • Manage payroll through the Human Resources Module and print checks during weekly payroll runs.
  • Maintain employee census data, tax rates, and tables.
  • Enter semi-monthly payroll and manage deductions.
  • Run commission reports, verify payroll taxes, and print annual 1099s and W-2s.
  • Enter and post all one-time and recurring EFTs, bank charges, and overhead invoices.
  • Manage inventory-related payables, matching invoices with received inventory, and post to accounting.
  • Print checks during weekly AP runs.
  • Post payments, job cost closed jobs, and ensure all charges are accurate.
  • Generate and send customer invoices, monthly statements, and aging reports.
  • Handle monthly bank reconciliations and manage deposits.
  • Record EFTs and bank charges to the check register.
  • Conduct preliminary journal reviews, make necessary entries, and balance subsidiary journals.
  • Generate financial statements, including the balance sheet and P&L.

Other Duties:

Prepare and file sales tax reports, and complete monthly forms and payments.
Run annual audits, renew business licenses, and handle fleet vehicle tag renewals.


Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in RFMS accounting software is required.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, particularly within the flooring or construction industry.
  • Ability to manage various accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable, and receivable.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

This position does not involve purchasing, order entry, customer service, or answering phones.

 

Hours: 30 hours/week

Compensation: $70,000/year
