Career opportunities in material handling equipment (engines, batteries, heavy lift equipment) are rewarding and challenging. People who can do this work are in high demand. LiftOne has developed the multi-year LIFT Program to help train individuals in the specific needs of LiftOne and material handling maintenance. The program combines classroom training and hands-on learning in a training environment and on-the-job.

- Structured training plan and pay progression through The LiftOne LIFT Program
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of lift truck equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, rail movers, container handlers, and a long list of other exciting heavy equipment
- Specialized training just for entry-level LIFT Technicians to familiarize you with the industry and the basics of planned maintenance
- Achieve designation as a Journeyman at the completion of The LIFT Program
- Military veterans will be able to use their GI Bill benefits throughout enrollment in The LIFT Program.
Essential Functions Throughout your enrollment in the LiftOne LIFT Program:
- Perform planned maintenance activities on a variety of Hyster-Yale forklifts and equipment, as well as competitive material handling equipment.
- Service and troubleshoot fuel systems, drivetrains, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Recommend repairs and additional maintenance based on the results of planned maintenance.
- Learn and adhere to all safety procedures and perform work in a safe manner in accordance with company policies.
- Interact with customers and be a trusted partner - supporting customers to keep their lift trucks running at optimum efficiency.
- Use schematics and manufacturer information to diagnose issues and troubleshoot faults and errors. Determine corrective actions needed to repair lift trucks.
- Identify, order, and use all necessary replacement parts.
- Candidates may work in a shop environment or at customer locations. A service van may be assigned to the technician, if needed.
- If assigned, perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of other equipment, such as Cummins diesel engines, batteries, fuel cells, telematics, and robotics used for warehouse automation.

Education and/or Experience - High school diploma, G.E.D.
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Valid driver license and clean driving record must be maintained throughout employment
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills
Computer Skills - Basic Computer/Tablet knowledge (Microsoft and Apple operating systems)
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence.
Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, and ability to perform these operations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to understand weight measurement, volume, and distance
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, depending on site location, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment. The employee may occasionally be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in some work environments is occasionally loud.
