ABOUT Slate Slate is a new US company that is exploring development in the electric vehicle space.
Who we are looking for:
Slate is looking for an energetic, organized, experienced Principal UX Writer to join our growing team.
What you get to do: The Principal UX Writer will help our customers engage with our vehicle program through clarity of concepts, vocabulary, and communication. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading impactful UX writing projects. They will be a part of the team responsible for defining how people interact with Slate products. The ideal candidate will be proficient at establishing User Experience (UX) processes to drive ease of use and consistency across Slate products – in and out of vehicle.
The responsibilities of the Principal UX Writer include but are not limited to the following:
- Define a content strategy across our site, vehicles, and apps.
- Develop content and copy that translates the Re:Car dba SLATE vision and brand voice for our customers and drivers.
- Participate in UX strategy, planning, and reviews.
- Drive consistent and clear terminology across the Re:Car dba SLATE
- Promote, and advise stakeholders on, the user-centric approach and apply UX methodologies to validate and inform design decisions.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, Brand, Design and HMI, Engineering and Software teams.
- Help balance strategic and tactical initiatives, to help ensure the team is solving the most critical user needs.
- Expertly articulate insights and actionable content strategy recommendations to senior level stakeholders.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, or related field, Bachelor's degree in Content Strategy or related UX degree preferred.
- 10+ years professional work experience leading high impact UX Writing/Content Strategy/customer communication projects.
- An excellent command of interface design and evaluation; thorough knowledge and experience of a range of UX approaches and methodologies is a must.
- Exhibit passion for emerging technologies, new interaction models, apps, and interactive interfaces of popular consumer electronics
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficient in both writing and speaking the English language
- Proficiency in UX design tools such as Figma.
- A deep understanding of accessibility and inclusivity in UX.
- Experience in automotive, or consumer electronics industries in the capacity of research preferred.
- Experience working within an agile development process preferred.
