Resource Analyst to support a NASA contract in
Greenbelt, MD. Responsibilities: - Provide mid-level financial support for Code 730.
- Coordinate with customers and government point of contacts to gather and estimate requirements on an adhoc and annual basis.
- Develop estimates for customer requirements by utilizing a variety of sources such as historical data, contractor estimates, and established cost models. Submits the estimates for consolidation into an integrated budget and support agreements in the formats provided.
- Process reimbursable funding documents through NASA Web-based systems promptly and accurately upon receipt in compliance with NASA standards.
- Track the progress of procurement and financial documents from receipt through closeout process. Initiate or respond to closeout requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain documentation and electronic database entry.
- Manage and execute funds received to ensure proper use of funds as they relate to terms of the agreement and funding document.
- Track obligations and expenditures, monitoring contract costs, identifying differences between basis of estimates and current spending trends and provide recommendations for adjustments and/or realignments to accommodate current and future needs.
- Respond to or provide program information for various Directorate, Center and customer data requests.
- Research, compile, and analyze financial reports and historical data.
- Identify any issues that may arise and work to resolution.
- Obtain, compile, and summarize factual narrative information and quantitative data for use by others within the office.
- Provides routine advice and assistance on financial matters, issues, or data pertaining to program.
- Provide support in scheduling, collaborating, communicating, and executing arrangements.
- Contractor will plan, create, and deliver presentation material for customers, using different platforms that make sense for the audience. Monthly chart organization/posting, reports, memos, and miscellaneous project documentation.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements - On-site presence at-least 3 days per week.
- Must have proficient skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Able to utilize web-based systems and NASA unique software.
- Office 365 experience is preferred.
- Individual must be able to work well independently as well as within a team.
- Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
Education and Experience: - One year of professional experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or business plus some financial experience either as a student or post graduate preferred.
